Reconnect: Helping Refugees Get Back to Work

Reconnect is a UK-based refugee organisation that supports qualified unemployed or underemployed refugees to become teachers in the UK and overseas. It helps refugees gain placements on teaching courses, including at institutions such as Birkbeck College and the Institute of Education, both at the University of London, before going on to assist them in gaining employment.Think Africa Press spoke to Reconnect director Theodros Abraham and a Sudanese refugee helped by Reconnect about the organisation's work.
