WFP spokesperson Caroline Hurford talks to Think Africa Press about the East African famine six months on and the growing food crisis currently threatening the Sahel region. She explains the effects of Kenya’s invasion of Somalia on relief efforts, the complexity of the WFP’s programmes in the likes of Niger and, in light of the recent Oxfam report A Dangerous Delay, the challenges of motivating donors to provide timely funding.
